According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, the number of mortgages entering the foreclosure process for the first quarter of 2009 jumped to a record high of 1.37%.
This continues to be bad news as the number of foreclosures increases. These foreclosures are costing families their homes and many individuals everything they have worked for.
It has also come out that the trend of foreclosures is to continue at least another year. One of the main reasons this trend will continue is the number of layoffs and unemployed workers is not expected to change dramatically within the next year.
