The Obama administration has recently made a push for more banks to modify existing mortgages.  The push comes as more individuals are having difficulty struggling with payments.

The Obama administration has stated that it believes that if the housing crisis can be brought under control,  then the American economy as a whole will have a push towards recovery.  It is yet to be seen how many companies may help individuals who need a mortgage modified.
