The grocery store chain, Superfresh, is considering shutting down many of its Maryland locations.
The chain filed for bankruptcy and was trying to find companies to buy its stores. So far, 13 out of the 25 Maryland stores have not been bought and so may be shut down. Among the companies who have purchased the stores were Mrs. Green's Management Corp. from New York and Village Supermarket Inc.
The grocery store company was initially planning on reorganizing its finances after filing for bankruptcy, however, the company decided to sell for $6.6 million in order to pay off creditors.
