Unemployment Tied to Mortgage Delinquencies

by Administrator 21. September 2009 05:58

The number for home foreclosures that is occurring in the United States and Maryland is at a near all time high.

Many of the foreclosures are a direct result of the poor job market.  Many individuals and families have recently lost their jobs,  resulting in the inability to make payments on their homes.

Currently the rate of subprime mortgage delinquencies is near the 40% level in the United States.  This statistic helps show how serious the problem is. Unless more mortgage modifications occur, the problem will likely get worse.

If you are facing foreclosure, contact the Maryland mortgage modification attorneys of Chaifetz & Coyle, PC at 443-546-4608.
