What is the interest in a mortgage?

In a mortgage loan, the interest is the amount of money you pay in addition to the principal, the original amount of the loan. The interest on your loan is how the bank makes money off of its investment in you. The sooner you pay off the principal, the less interest you will ultimately pay.

If you are having a difficult time making your monthly mortgage payments and would like to restructure your loan, contact the Maryland mortgage modification attorneys of Chaifetz & Coyle, P.C., by calling 443-546-4608.
